Finally done! This is based on the wonderful contest [link] organized by [link] which has trully broaden my artistic horizons
The contest is to draw an organism based on a cellular or subcellular molecule . Since i have been in and out of cellular subject this past few years i thought this would be a wonderful opportunity to experiment and do sth new. It most certaintly was! I have already though up 3 species but i started of with this one, which is my most realistic one since i tried to make it as an organism that could actually exist as a neuron. I think you can see spend too much time looking at zooplankton. My neuron has crustacean upper appendages, ctenophoran cilia and tentacles. It is quite wobbly but i still like it. I'm more proud though for the background since it's my first time i 've experimented with textures! Using hibbary's [link] awesome tutorial, i thought i should use various media such as seasalt and alcohol to give the feeling of the microscopic world or more specifically the neural world. I hope i will be doing my next one since its more ''artistic'' but i'm very happy with this one. Hope you all like it Pencil for sketch, 0.05 pens, blue and black ink, sea salt and pure alcohol |
